We have added a description of the Nushi, which lives in the great underground lake, to the Nenomachi District page.
The Nushi is a very large fish about 20 m long, treasured in Nenomachi as a sacred being that protects the lake. Because it does no harm to people, the town does not capture or slay it.
If you see the Nushi’s shadow on the lake, please do not shine lights on it or make loud noises.
